I served as a medic in Ramadi, Iraq from September 2003-September 2004 with the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army. I saw the failures of medical care at Walter Reed, joined IVAW, then helped build the first active-duty IVAW chapter at Ft. Drum, NY. I was recently discharged, spent some time on the road and I am now living in VT making art. I wrote Convoy Ops at the Warrior Writers retreat at Ft. Drum while I was still active duty.
