My service to my nation began in the summer of 1997 when, at age seventeen, I decided to enlist in the Marines. I eventually attained the rank of SGT and led a Marine infantry squad from the second Battalion of the 25th Marines in an-Nasiriyah Iraq during the spring and summer of 2003.
Upon returning home to NYC, I matriculated at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn and later transferred to Columbia University. Currently I am a student at Columbia, majoring in history. I live in Brooklyn, New York, with my wife and two children.
