LIFT AWAY YOUR PAIN

We did things to other people. Oh how true that statement is.
Funny how torture has been going on for so long.
Interesting concept, how you go to war and have raised levels of anxiety and stress and you turn to hurting or killing people just to make your day better.
Why is it I enjoyed the pain I inflicted on innocent people?
People with families and lives to be lived.
It's not right. It's not humane.
I'm sorry I killed your son today. I thank him for looking into my eyes after he fell to the ground.

I'm thankful he didn't die after that first round went through his chest
causing him to let go of an unforgettable scream directed towards me.
Why did you shoot me Jon?
What did I do?
I'm willing to bet a hundred dollars your blood stain is still on the sidewalk outside Post Alpha.
I'm sorry for the pain I have caused you and your family.
I'm sorry I killed you. You, I don't even know your name.
I'm sorry for the other lives I've ruined. Please lift your head and forgive me.
I am no longer the monster I once was.

APRIL 2

Bright flash
turn to ash
your names are on the wall.
Four birds one stone.
One large stone.
Four pebbles made up that stone.
Don't trip
you just fell.
You will not catch yourself.
Too early or
too late?
Doesn't matter you just met your fate.
The fate that took your lives and
left you charred and
not able to breathe.
To breathe is to take a breath
hard to do when your part of death.
As part of death, you die,
not just on the outside
but within.
On the inside you cannot see within the eye;
let your mind die and turn to dust.
Not rust,
rust is still there; you are dust
because of the flame.
The flame that took your life.
The life you once led.
You cant now.
You're dead.
