Warrior Writers Writing Workshops hosted by Veterans' Sanctuary

What: Peer-supported, safe and creative environment to expression through writing. Share experiences from your military career or the transition from military life to civilian life.

Art & Writing Workshops for Our City, Our Vets Mural
When: Feb. 15, & 29, March 14 & 28, April 11 & 25, May 9 & 23, June 6 & 20, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Where: Studio 34, 4522 Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143
What: Warrior Writers and Mural Arts and are bringing the community together to support veterans returning to our city. Partnering with veterans organizations, universities, service providers, and community members, we are hosting a series of events including art and writing workshops for veterans, community discussions, exhibitions, and painting activities, which will culminate in the creation of a landmark mural. The goal of the project is to bring veterans, many of whom struggle in silence, into a conversation with fellow community members to share their stories and build a better network for troops returning home.

Poetry Expressions By Veterans' Sanctuary
When: Saturday, Mar. 10, 7:00-10:00 PM
Where: Unitarian Church , 306 North Aurora Street, Ithaca, NY
What: Poetry reading featuring veterans from the Ithaca area. All veterans are welcome to come and read their poetry/prose. Please pass the word. The Veterans' Sanctuary hosts a writing group every two weeks. We hope to use this event to share our military experiences with the community and to raise money to support our organization.
